Description
Bialetti has been making stovetop coffee makers since the 1930s, beginning with the iconic Moka Express. That original model was, and still is, made of aluminium – a popular material at the time when it was designed. While aluminium does the coffee making job very well, it is prone to developing signs of age.
With that in mind, Bialetti created the Venus to be the contemporary answer to the Italian classic moka pot. Unlike its aluminium ancestor, it’s made of polished stainless steel, giving it a more elegant appearance that is likely to look good for longer. Even better, the stainless steel material makes it compatible with virtually any stove, including modern induction technology.
Bialetti Venus size guide
As with most moka pots, the Bialetti Venus comes in a variety of sizes. When choosing your size, please bear in mind that each cup corresponds roughly to a ~30ml concentrated shot. To make it longer, many people will dilute the concentrate for an Americano style coffee.
Almost all stovetops work best when brewed at full capacity so pick a cup size that will correspond to the number of people you want to serve (or half that amount if you like doubles).
